Super soft organic wool terry raglan baby sweater. It is breathable and warm sweater, has poppers all along the front for easy dressing. The roomy cut offers lots of freedom of movement and wool naturally maintains optimal body temperature.
100% organic Merino wool
Wool absorbs moisture, up to 33% of its own weight, and will keep your child dry, protecting the health and well-being of the little ones. With its isolating qualities wool naturally regulates the body temperature – nice and warm when it’s chilly and cooling on the body when it’s hot.
The new virgin wool used by Engel comes from Merino sheep. Merino virgin wool is finely crimped, does not itch and feels soft and cosy. The wool comes from Merino sheep in their natural environment, which are organically farmed and therefore live a healthy and stress-free life. The usage of pesticides is forbidden both on pastures and on animals.
This is made of 100% organic Merino wool. This product is certified by IVN as Best which meets exceeds GOTS organic standards.

Wool terry products:
100% organic wool terry, high quality snugly and untreated merino wool is used for this product. Wool balances temperatures, can absorb up to a third of its own weight in moisture without feeling damp while letting the skin breathe. Its high natural lanolin content has an antibacterial effect.
Care instructions for Silk, Cotton & Wool
Usually, it’s enough to air our woollens regular and only hand-wash them from time to time at a max. of 30° C with a mild wool detergent using a gentle cycle such as a wool program, without spinning. Please do not use any detergent with bleaching or brightening effects. After washing wrap the product in a towel, wring and pull it in shape and let it dry flat.
If the wool was washed more often, it is recommended to use a lanoline-cure to protect the wool.

The numbers in the tub indicate the maximum washing temperature, which should not be exceeded. A double line indicates washing cycles with a more minimized mechanic, e.g. for wool.

The letters are for chemical dry clean and indicate which active solvents can be used. The beam underneath the circle stands for a reduced mechanical treatment, addition of moisture and/or temperature when dry cleaning.
This symbol marks articles which can be wet cleaned. Normally it is in the second line under the symbol for chemical dry cleaning. The beam underneath the circle indicates a reduced mechanical treatment. (see washing).
Engel 'Nature at its best', started off producing knitted nappies in the 1960s. Today our range contains underwear, nightwear and outerwear for babies and children.
Besides organic cotton we use the finest organic Merino virgin wool and natural organic Merino virgin wool with silk. All the dyestuffs we use are free from heavy metals and have always been free from harmful AZO-dyes. For colouring our woollen textiles we use only reactive dye, which compounds particularly well with fibre and stands out for its excellent fastness. We abstain from any kind of chemical finishing with our textile processing. Basically all used agents should be bio-degradable and must not pollute soil, air and water.
All of the metal parts that we employ are free from nickel; other materials stem from natural renewable resources. It is also part of our company’s philosophy to consider aspects of ecological production and waste management as well as human ecological standpoints. We also place a value on short routes of transport as well as on social aspects.
