The Chore Adults Raincoat - False Indigo - XS-M

This utilitarian classic is inspired by workwear and it's Fairechild's first unisex design for adults. The Chore has a boxy silhouette that sits below your hips, allowing for ease of movement, and the large front pockets keep all your essentials dry with stormy flaps. It also has side slot pockets so you have somewhere to tuck your hands. The sleeves are designed to neatly cuff to the desired length and the attached hood is detailed with a brass-capped drawcord for an optional snug fit.

This fabric has the performance and durability of your favourite high-end adult raincoats. It is free from harmful chemicals and made from a non-porous, flexible material, that pulls vapor through the clothing to evaporate away. It is waterproof, windproof, dirt and mud resistant and breathable so your little ones stay comfy, cozy for longer. 

The eco-repel finish on the garments can begin to relax and weaken after 20 washes. Heat reactivates and strengthens the coating of the garments. For the best results, we highly suggest putting it in the dryer or iron at low setting every time you wash it. This will reinforce the eco-repel finish on the garment.

Meet Tabitha Osler

She is an advocate for getting outside. An ambassador for puddle jumping, if you will. She is also a designer and most importantly, a mother. As a parent, she knows that we all want the best for our children. This includes a world with bounties of food, natural resources and access to clean water. 

With all this in mind she created fairechild. She knows there is urgent change needed in the fashion industry and she wanted to help other parents and kids be able to play, explore and fall in love with their natural world. She has designed waterproof garments that allow children to be outdoors - everyday, all day, whatever the weather – and she has done it in the most transparent way possible. All this so you can be confident that your fairechild rain wear is kind to kids, parents and the planet. 

Design Philosophy, waste is a resource - by reusing materials I can lessen our dependency on raw materials and leave natural resources for future generations. be transparent - I want to know the who, what, when, where, and how all along my supply chain and I share that information with you. Good design, happy planet - responsible and sustainable choices are synonymous with good design.
