As We Grow’s new collection is proudly inspired by Anna Ancher, the late and great visual artist. Hailing from Denmark, Ancher was a member of the Skagen Painters art colony, and their residence in an unspoilt and isolated fishing village is translated into the new-season pieces.
A unique shade of blue used across knitted cardigans, shorts and polo tops recalls the rugged beauty of the sea. Shirts and work pants feature useful pockets to store
little ones’ foraged treasure, while blouses and pinafores in crisp white fabric are inspired by vintage nightgowns. A soft pink linen and a mixed white and grey stripe pattern effortlessly complement the muted earthy tones in the collection.

The As We Grow look leans to tradition. The pieces carry references to the Icelandic rural past, a nostalgic retro flair from the time when children’s clothes were still made at home by hand.
